When I was ten years old, I read "The Silent World" by Jacques - Yves Cousteau.
I was deeply impressed by the adventures of these men, who sailed out with their vessel Calypso to find a new universe every day and see things that nobody ever saw before.
From that day on I started dreaming about the sea and what might lie below her surface.
It took me almost twenty years until I did my first dive during a trip to the Maledives, but there I instantly
knew that this was going to become an important part of my future life.
Still, every hour underwater is something very special and precious for me.
Being a professional photographer, it was clear, that I would bring my camera sooner or later. It´s amazing, how many things one will see through the lens which would be overseen otherwise.
My aim is to keep my photographic style also when working underwater, although this is uncomparably
more difficult.
With my newest projects I finally combined my two passions: fashion and underwater photography.
This hopefully will be a big part of my work in the future.
is a small village on Ovalau, the historical and spiritual center of Fiji.
Here You find Bobo´s Farm, where Bobo´s wife Karin will prepare self-caught shrimps for dinner, You can listen to a veranda concert of the Rukuruku Bush Band and on the way to bed You have to cross the meadow of the giant frogs.
It was diving that brought me to places like this. The days of the Calypso may be gone. But there still is a world to discover.
